Samuel Pepys and the Great Fire of London History Show
Today, Year 2 had a special performance from Tempus Fugit Educational Theatre Company. Samuel Pepys told the story of the Great Fire of London through the writings in his diary. Some of our children were asked to perform and become some of the characters. The children had a great insight to what Samuel Pepys would have worn, how we would have behaved and what life was like during his time. The children understood how important his diaries are for us today.
Today, Class 6 were provided with different artefacts. They carouselled around the room looking at each artefact and recorded what they thought they were and when it was from. The children had some interesting ideas! The children then predicted that our new history topic is going to be about the Great Fire of London.
Welcome back! We hope that you have had a great summer holiday and are ready to begin Year 2! We have lots of exciting things happening this year! Information and updates of what Class 6 have been up to will be regularly shared so keep your eyes peeled!
