The Local Authority and Public Health England have asked schools to make staff and parents aware of the latest information around Covid-19. The links below will take you to the latest information and provide you with the advice needed if you have (in the last 14 days) returned from any of the countries identified as Category 1 or Category 2 where the virus is most prevalent.
Category 1 countries are China, Iran, Republic of Korea and Italy (only specified areas in the North which can be seen on a map from the website linked). ONLY those who have travelled from these countries in the past 14 days need to self-isolate for 14 days.
Anyone who has returned from Category 2 countries - which are identified by following the links - only need to self-isolate IF they have symptoms (fever, cough, problems with breathing).
School would like to ask ALL travellers from these countries to contact school BEFORE they return to the school site on Monday 2nd March, so that a discussion can be held, information shared and the right decisions made for our school community. Please therefore contact school IF you have been to these countries before 8.15 a.m. on Monday.
This information is simply a precaution. Cases in the UK are still low and there are no reported cases in Greater Manchester, including Rochdale, at the time of writing.
