Wear Red Day 2021 - Show Racism the Red Card
Today at St Joseph's our children participated in the Wear Red Day 2021 by coming to school dressed in red. They looked fabulous and were clearly sending the message that here at St Joseph's we give racism the red card! Throughout the day the children participated in discussions and debates about racism and also a prayer and worship session where they prayed for the end to any form of racism in our world.
The children recognised how to truly walk in Jesus' footsteps, they need to stand up to racism, challenge anyone who discriminates against others and they need to be show love and kindness to all. The children discussed how they could challenge racism in a safe way both in school and out in the community.
We are so proud of how well our children engaged today and we thank our wonderful parents for supporting this important event.
