In Class 5 we have been learning all about the story of Jonah and the big fish. We have made our own whale using paper plates.

Today we invited our families to join in with our prayer and worship session. It was all about the Epiphany; when the three wise men visited baby Jesus. Thank you all for coming!

Today we started our Science lesson by labelling the parts of the body in our KAGAN groups.

Today we made 2D shapes using lolly sticks. We then named the shape that had been made and had to describe them using the correct vocabulary.

Today, Class 5 took part in a prayer and worship about preparing for Christmas. We thought about how we prepare for school or a party and how this was different to how we prepare for Christmas. Then we listened to a story about how Mary and Joseph prepared for the coming of Jesus. The children wrote prayers letting Jesus know how they were preparing for his birthday.

Today we had a visit from Fr Paul. He talked to us about how our school has changed and his role in the church. We then asked him some questions about changes at our school. After his visit we write a prayer thanking God for all the wonderful people we have at St Joseph’s.
